Commercial Description:
Bloed, Zweet & Tranen, brewed by accident with malt from the Bruichladdich distillery, instead of the usual peated malt. Single batch only. NOTE: Beware, the bottle does not indicate whether it’s the regular BZT or the Bruichladdich. So the only way to know this is if the one who bought it was told it’s the Bruichladdich.

Draught at Monks Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a deep dark reddish brown colour with a low firm beige foam. Deep peaty aroma of smoke, salty licorice, toasted malts, roasted almonds and dried figs. Medium to full-bodied with notes of licorice, roasted nuts, burnt caramel, smoke and dried figs. Long solid malty finish of peat, tar and roasted almonds. Classy brew, much better than the regular version.

bottle - poured dark brown with a small light brown creamy head. Very light smoked peat aroma. The flavor was also of smoky peat with a hint of salty bacon with an almost prune-like finish.

It’s black with a red hue and a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, smoke, licorice and chocolate. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of peat smoke, licorice, wood, dry citrus and a light bitterness. It’s an exciting beer with a nice, dry peat and smoke touch.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2009. Dark brown color. Smoky, tarry and leathery aroma with dark fruits, heather and hint of plastic. Sweet tarry, earthy and smoky flavor with peat and heather. Slightly too peaty but the balance is still fairly good.

Pitch black, steady beige head. Very woody, a bit smokey, roasted malty aroma. Smokey, a bit sweet, licorice and oak. Very nice beer, not as intensive experience than an oak aged version.
