Commercial Description:
There’s plenty of fruit like orange, tangerine and sweet apples. It’s powerful and full bodied but still easy going. Although the name would suggest otherwise, it’s our favourite amongst the female clientele yet also highly appreciated by the other sex. Well hopped as always, but the obvious alcohol and the massive malt and fruit character restrict the hops to the background, only to reveal itself in the finish. Full bodied, notes of champagne. Champagne mousse after pouring in the glass. Grapes and a hint of mandarin curacao in the aroma, together with a hint of vin mousseux. Malty sweet flavor, immensely full bodied, with mandarine curacao and vinous notes. Thick mouthfeel, just a touch of yeast in the aftertaste. Huge beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with no head. Sweet, boozy aroma with notes of orange, toffee, cherry, sweet malt and apricot. Flavour is much the same, possibly even fruitier. Thick, sticky mouthfeel with a huge sweetness on the front, followed by lingering bitterness on the back palate. Not sure if my bottle was in the best condition, no carbonation at all, will have to re-rate at a later date. Still an interesting beer.

33cl #0177 (bottled 01.04.09) from Kihoskh. Hazy, murky copper, no head. Nose has white wine vinegar, vegetable rice, old apples and alcohol. Flavor is massive sweet malt, sweet madeira, alcohol, luckily misses that vinegar, slightly spritzy apple juice. Oranges, cointreau and little wood in the finish. Full bodied, very low carbonation, pretty vinous mouthfeel. Mildly wine like autumn warmer, just a bit messy.

Courtesy Beerlando. Pours a hazy amber with no head. Sweet sherry citrus aroma. Possibly one of the thickest beers I have ever tasted! Lots of citrus, brown sugar sweetness in the taste. Hides the alcohol very well. Just a wild brew, thanks Bryan!
