Commercial Description:
There’s plenty of fruit like orange, tangerine and sweet apples. It’s powerful and full bodied but still easy going. Although the name would suggest otherwise, it’s our favourite amongst the female clientele yet also highly appreciated by the other sex. Well hopped as always, but the obvious alcohol and the massive malt and fruit character restrict the hops to the background, only to reveal itself in the finish. Full bodied, notes of champagne. Champagne mousse after pouring in the glass. Grapes and a hint of mandarin curacao in the aroma, together with a hint of vin mousseux. Malty sweet flavor, immensely full bodied, with mandarine curacao and vinous notes. Thick mouthfeel, just a touch of yeast in the aftertaste. Huge beer.

750, corked, baled, and waxed. Thanks, TheWolf! Crystal clear ultra-thick light amber with a very faint scattering of foam on top. Huge sweet caramel and orange nose. Huge thick sticky-sweet body. Tongue-coating, mouth-painting barrage of viscosity, without a doubt. Phew. Oranges, caramel, doughy malts, and booze on the mid-palate. Big, sweet, and fairly close to amazing.

750 ml bottle - wow, thanks tom!! i didn’t note the year or bottle info, but it was corked & caged with pink wax; pours orange and mostly flat; super sweet nose that reminded me of some sort of orange breakfast danish; soft texture, full bodied and tons of fruity sweetness; dry and sticky finish; maybe overly sweet, but they somehow pull it off; a lovely BW and at 15%, bombs away!!!

Bottle, 33cl, at Copenhagen Beerfestival. It’s a semi-clear, orange-brown beer with just some beige bubbles as head. Vinous, sugary nose with caramel, some dried fruits and a surprisingly low level of alcohol. Sweet, sugary flavor with alcohol, caramel, dried fruits and a weak bitterness. Full-bodied, warming and more or less flat. Overall, it’s a bit on the sweet and warming side, but still rather nice. (090516)

Bottled. Clear copper color, some lacing only. Aroma of caramel malt, oranges, slight apple, sweet, bit sugar, cognac. Quite sweet barley wine taste, fruity, slight dry, good malty body, not very hoppy. Different from most big hoppy american barley wines, but more delicate and sweet.

100ml sampled from a bottle together with Skinnyviking. Clear dark amber with lots of dimples on the surface. Smell of tropical fruits and sweet dried fruits. Figs and raisin up front in the first sips, then the flavour continues in a more wine-like character. Dry and everlasting bittersweet tail. Full bodied and powerful with well integrated alcohol. Just lovely (CBF, 16.05.2009).

bottle, pours dark amber, no head. Malty aroma with some light dried fruits. Sweet candied apple and malty base, lingers plenty sweet throughout with tons of prune and carmel notes. A lovely barley wine.
