| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2005 Enticing and complex aroma conjures suggestions of grapefruit, marzipan, leafy tobacco, perfume, lavender soap and pastry dough. Hazy tan body with low, dense and lasting, off-white head. Strong citrus, banana, leafy character and peppery spiciness all vie for attention in the leadup to the moderately bitter finish. Cake-like yeastiness is pervasive. Sharp, pointy, initially aggressive carbonation detracts somewhat from overall enjoyment but subsides in time. Sampled at GBBF 2005.
