The aroma of roasted malts, with dark caramel, hops and dark fruits. The taste of a little roasted malt, bitter of coffee, some chocolate, hops and prunes. The aftertaste of bitter chocolate. When the beer gets warmer the taste of roasted takes away. skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Unclear, mahogany body under an off-white head. Moderate malt roastiness to the nose. Dried, dark fruits giving way to notes of coffee and caramel malts. Medium to full bodied. A very well made Bock (EBF, 13.09.2008). Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2008 Updated: Dec 29, 2008Bottle 75 cl. Comes as "De Molen Borefts Turf Bock 2008". Pours very cloudy and opaque orangey brown with a dense and creamy beige head leaving some lacework. Aroma of roasted malt. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt but quite surprisingly also burned malts and an ashy edge. The finish is dry with a slightly ashy malt bitterness. A very atypical Bock. 241208
(On tap) Hazy, muddy golden with a rough off-white head. Malty aroma with some alcohol. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt but appears a little tired on my palate. Dry and lightly bitter finish. For once a disappointing De Molen.6/2/6/3/11=2.8 120908
