Pleasant aroma of coffee, cocoa, and dark chocolate. Very roasted-malty, slightly burned flavor with coffee, licorice, some caramel and hop bitterness. Medium body with soft carbonation. An enjoyable and balanced, maybe slightly too burned bock. I wonder if this is the regular bock renamed - but on the other hand, it was much more roasty and burned than the one at EBF. Earlier Rating: 9/12/2008 Total Score: 3.7 (Draught) Very hazy chocolate brown with a medium, firm head. Toffee-caramely-malty aroma, somewhat unclean, a bit sewery. Smoothly malty, toffeeish, lightly roasty flavor with coffee notes. Medium to full body, very soft carbonation. The aroma was not very tempting, but flavor and overall smoothness saved it. A very nice bock. austone (1039), Turku; Pori, Finland
