Draft. An unclear amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has both sweet and acidic notes as well as notes of wood and vanilla. The flavor is sweet and very malty combined with notes of alcohol and wood, leading to a very bitter finish. Nice body.

Bottle 75 cl. Comes as "De Molen Borefts Turf Bock 2008". Pours very cloudy and opaque orangey brown with a dense and creamy beige head leaving some lacework. Aroma of roasted malt. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt but quite surprisingly also burned malts and an ashy edge. The finish is dry with a slightly ashy malt bitterness. A very atypical Bock. 241208

(On tap) Hazy, muddy golden with a rough off-white head. Malty aroma with some alcohol. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt but appears a little tired on my palate. Dry and lightly bitter finish. For once a disappointing De Molen.6/2/6/3/11=2.8 120908

Draught at EBF08. Creamy and spicy aroma, perhaps a bit wheaty. Muddy orange and brown colour. Small tight tan head. Creamy and spicy flavour, like a spicy Dunkelweizen. Astringent bitterness, from the alcohol.
