A Mes rate: Bottle at LCRBM3. Murky brown with a decent off white head. Earthy and barrel type aroma with some fruity notes. Flavour is roasted malt. Typical for this brewer. Slight soapy notes but still tasty. Chocolate and alcoholic finish. Little too much carb for me but not bad.

Fully hazy brown beer, with vanishing head. Wood, dark leaves, earthy notes in the nose, and a slight sourish tinge in the end. Wry, eikengal , wood again - as wood that was starting to rot and dried up again. Just a bit roasted. Very dry MF, dry-out effect. Strange, very dry beer; despite the strange eptithets, IMO totally free of infection, which is good for a small Dutch brewery.

Bottled (BB 10/2007)
Dark ruby brown color, small brown head. Very fruity nose, loads of prunes, dates and brown sugar. Crisp carbonation. Prunes, toffee, some hops and even some licorice in the flavor. Some alcohol picks up in the finish. Nice sweetish dubbel. 10% version of this would be interesting - Rochefort influence is evident.

Dark amber colored, medium sized light brown head. Chocolate dominates this aroma with some hops and mild alcohol. Medium bodied. Flavor is more hopped with some flowery hayish tones, vegetable in aftertaste with mild alcohol, lemon and chocolate.

Aroma is of roasted chocolate, toffee malts and some fruitiness. Hazy, brown coloured with a lasting, thin, beige head. Taste is creamy sweet, toffee and coffee malty, some fruits, some prunes. Medium body. Nice beer, good balance.
