MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Jul 15, 2007 Bottle, 6.9%. The aroma is very perfumy, and a bit soapy. Very cloudy yellow/orange colour. Nice, big, stable, rocky white head. The flavour is a good mix of alcohol, sweetness, malt and honey. The honey is more noticeable in the aftertaste. There is also a late, satiating alcohol flavour and feel, getting almost harsh, even whiskeyish. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 13, 2007 Bottled. It looked quite decent, clear and golden-colored, topped by a white head, and it had a medium body, but the rest wasn’t good. Mothballs and honey on the nose, and honey and hints of spicyness in the flavor. Honey finish as well. I like honey, but this was too much, and when the mothball-aroma was in there as well, it failed to thrill me. (061222) gunnfryd (3539), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 12, 2007 Bottle. Pale golden color, white head, good lace. Sweet, light bitter, very herbal, honey, some citrus, medium body. Technically a good beer but not my kind of flavors. caesar (3020), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Sep 17, 2006 Cloudy yellow color, medium white head. Aroma is sweet of honey and bubblegum, but also dusty of yeast, chalk, also some hop. Bit dry and sweet taste, honey. Odd brew. skortila (2875), Bunnik, Netherlands Aug 30, 2006 Aroma of some hops, honey and yeast. Cloudy, yellow coloured with a good white head. Taste is sweet and dry. Honey, some yeast and hops in it. Pretty descent brew. bierkoning (5987), La Tropica, Netherlands Mar 10, 2006 Blonde, dense head. Hoparoma with a touch of honey. The honey is far more apparent in the sonewhat sweetish flavor. Hops are restricted to the background. Grainy, honeyish aftertaste. Likeable and fairly well balanced, though a bit thin. Dry out effect in the aftertaste.
