Bottle shared by Marcus. Poured dark amber brown with a decent tan/beige head. Aroma suggests cola. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is rather musty, caramel, rich noble hop. Suggests darker fruits. Quit different. Very quaffable. Slightly harsh. Finishes decently bitter.

This dark brown ale poured iwth a rich tan head and a sourish smoked malt aroma. The flavor is a lilttle thin, but it is quite tasty, with dark fruit, raisin and a lot of carbonation. Slightly soapy, but the flavor has become less thin as the beer warms.

750ml bottle thank you Santa! Pours dark brown amber with a nice off white head. Aroma is malty, some raisin, and toasted caramel. Flavor is malty sweet, raisins, caramel, some dark cherry and a touch of alcohol in the finish. One sip and you know your drinking a beer from the Netherlands. Nice!

Bottle. Poured clearis orangish amber with light tan head with some floaties. Aroma of toasted sweet malt, with some dark fruit, light spice. Taste is similar with some light roasted flavors. Mouth is pretty full wth some mild carbonation. Overall, an interesting dopplebock/imperial pils.

Bottle sampled on 6/3/08: Pours a transparent copper bronze with a stringy-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet toasty caramel with some mild maize character and light citrusy hops. Body starts fairly full and doughy caramely sweet with a touch of light fruity esters. Finishes crisp and toasty sweet. A nice doppelbock.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of malts, nuts, caramel, wood, and hints of chocolate and oak leaves. Poured brown/amber in color with a large, tan/beige head that diminished some some, but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Lightly sparkling. Full of medium-sized particles throughout. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malts, caramel, nuts, slight tar, slight yeast, and a hint of cocoa. Medium body. Average texture. Soft to average carbonation. Sweet, nutty, caramel and malt finish. 8.2%ABV is undetectable.

Dark red color with a medium head. Solid aorma of sweet grains and Munich malt. After warming up a bit, the flavors really stand out. Lots of sweet grain, rich Munich malt flavor, light caramel and a pinch of chocolate. Moderate Noble, floral hop. Quite nice.
