| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 1, 2008 USA version. Imperial pilsner, not a dubbel at all. Premiant and Saaz hops ar primary taste, drying hops, yet balanced not too bitter. Medium plus mouthfeel. Rather neutral aroma. Drinkable but a 750 ml. is too much.Decent of-white head. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 31, 2008 750 ml bottle - 2007 on the cork; pours clear, roasty brown with tan head; soapy, rich aromas of caramel, nuts and mild chocolate; drinks very dry and sweet at first sip; texture on the light side, but some cream from the remaining head; kind of a strange beer and very bland on the flavor Maria (6303), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 25, 2008 The color is very beautiful brown/red with a little sediment and a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, yeast and aromatic hops. The flavour has a light sweetness, and a slightly spicy, roasted bitterness, that also is a bit dry, and it has notes of roasted malt, caramel, spices (a bit like Christmas), light anise and coriander, aromatic hops and it ends on a dry note. A very nice and exciting beer.
