Is that really Zues on the bottle? Looks way to happy to be a greek god. Anyhoot. Pours a thick dark dark amber & prune color with a 2 finger off white head. Nice aroma of cocoa, caramel, biscuity and has nice undertones of chocolate. Very smooth. I like, I like. ok hear it goes...cocoa, hints of melted caramel notes of chocolate but a little boozy. Lots of flavors pop out in the after taste. Nice body. fairly medium all around. Easily drunk by all.

75cl bottle courtesy of argo0. Hazy amber beer with a lasting head. Rich malty caramel and cherry aroma. Smooth malty flavors of vanilla, caramel, and molasses, with some fruity yeast flavors, but a relatively clean profile. Creamy full body. This was really nice stuff; great balance and mouthfeel with an interesting yeasty component that doesn’t seem very typical for the style.

Served at the right drinking temperature at EBF, Copenhagen 08. Russet body colour, tiny beige head. Sweet smell of malty nuttiness. Toffee in flavour with roastiness and welcoming hints of tart fruits. Smooth, vinous in the mouth. Pleasant, but in small amounts at the time (14.09.2008).

750ml shared with argoO and company. Thick brown-amber color. Mellow sweet aroma. Yeasty and rich. Interesting subtle nuances, very complex. Smooth, malty, thick. Sweet sugary aroma. An excellent Dutch beer.

Hazy reddish-brown. Chocolate, nuts, toast and some brown sugar on the nose. Smooth, molassesy palate. Light orange and lime. Complex, interesting brew.

Dark red color with a medium head. Solid aorma of sweet grains and Munich malt. After warming up a bit, the flavors really stand out. Lots of sweet grain, rich Munich malt flavor, light caramel and a pinch of chocolate. Moderate Noble, floral hop. Quite nice.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of cascading foamy light brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a slightly hazy typically carbonated dark orange brown colored body. The mild aroma was brown malt. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild hops mildly vinous and brown malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Chestnut color with a hue of garnet when held to the light. Two fingers worth of tiny, soft creamy, beige bubbles. Big malty aromas, with dark caramel, touches of fruit (dates and plums) and some noble hops. No doubt this is a doppelbock. After the first sip this is one that I know that I will enjoy. Toffee and toasted malt explode in the front. Middle is full of floral and lightly herbal hops. LIght nuttiness and touch of bitterness in the finish along with a bit of roasted malt. Soft feel with just a bit of carbonation. A little more hops in the flavor for a doppel, but very nicely put together. THe finial pour adds some yeast qualities that distract a bit and leave this less clean and doppel-like, but still enjoyable.
