| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 10, 2009 Bottle from Bierkoning. Bold caramel body with thin murky head. Sour nose of cherry and notes of apples. Taste is very sour up front, with bold cherry flavours. Then gets bitter in the finish. Not for me. Drainpour. Hugh (129), Breda, Netherlands
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Aroma and character strikingly like Crombe Oud Kriekenbier. Not as outrageous as that beer in its heyday though. For me the original Crombe OK was the best fruit beer ever, and to its credit, this is well on the way there. Perhaps future barrels could be kicked about a bit more and given a bit more wet dog and oxidation. bierkonijn (13), amsterdam, Netherlands

Nice white head, and very cloudy dark red body. Aroma is lactic and cherrry (duh) hint of wood, rasberry or cherrypit.
Dark cherry flavor, again the cherrypit taste. Dusty, no aggressive sourness.
The non aged version had a beautiful champagne-like carbonation. Miss that here, it’s more thick and less sparkling.
Overall a very nice experiment and a decent, although not extreme/nerdy lambic.
