Commercial Description:
FRIS & FRUITIG MORELLEN LAMBIEK BORDEAUX BARREL Fruit Lambic – 5,6% vol. Each flavour component plays so beautifully off each other that it is like watching a well done stage play. A pair of characters would present themselves on your palate and trip delicately around your senses. With each unveiling, new complexity was found and a new sensation. Subtle, refined, delicate, nuanced.

Tap @ København Ølfestival 2009. The aroma is very fruity (grape, red fruit), winey and has oak. Hazy, red-brown coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is tart, just a little sweet. It is fruity, has marzipan, oak and wine. Balanced beer with a moderate dry finish. Good!

Brewery tap. Pinkish red color, notes of claret wine and oak (should be the bordeaux barrel). Cherry and almond in the abundant aroma. Only a light sourness with a firm oaky bitterness in the flavor. Cherry, almond, marzipan. Fairly dry, the only sweetness is from the cherries. Oaky, somewhat yeasty bitter aftertaste. Very nice, but as a sourhead I prefer more tartness.

KØ09. Mild berry aroma. Hazy dark red colour. Mild berry flavour, a bit like berry tea. Not so sour. Not my type of beer.
