On tap @ brewery. I was told this is a smoked stout. Dark brown coloured beer with a nice beige head. Aroma gives away malts, not really roasted, faint caramel. Very nice taste, very subtle smoked taste, sweet malts and a nice lingering roasted bitterness to finish. Very lovely beer, considering its abv, very well drinkable yet complex at the same time.

Aug 13, 2008 Bottled. Thanx oh6gdx. Dark brown in color, beige head, lacings. The aroma is burnt malt with a sweetness. The aroma is dry, with burnt malt. There is a dry aftertaste.

Dark ruby color, small creamy tan head. Sourish roasted coffeish nose. Decent carbonation. Light roastyness, coffee and light licorice. Nice malt profile, oily mouthfeel, roasted aftertaste. There is also some sourness, seems that also Seppo and Patrik had it in their bottles, so it seems to be in all bottles of this batch ... a beer to try again.

Jul 29, 2008 Bottled. Quite coca-cola coloured with mediumsized brown fluffy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some nuts, caramel as well as salted licorice and mild sour coffeeish notes. Flavour is roasted malts, sour coffee as well as salted licorice and mild notes of caramel malts. Good porter.

Jul 19, 2008 (Bottled, 0.75l, 5.2% ABV) Dark cola color with a medium, tanned head. Roasted-malty, slightly almondy aroma with sourish coffee and salty licorice. Pretty roasty, almost burned-malty, sourish and a bit ashy flavor with black coffee, some balancing caramel, and a reasonably long, dry, burned and bitter finish. Almost medium-bodied, slightly thin palate with medium carbonation. A balanced and quite enjoyable porter with enough, but not too much color malt. These guys know how to brew.

Jun 18, 2008 Bottled. Aroma has coffee, some hoppiness, some caramel. Cloudy, dark brown coloured with a lasting off-white, medium head. Taste is a little bitter, sweet, has coffee and caramel malts mainly. Some licorice. Slightly thin bodied.
