On tap at Borefts BF 09. Simcoe as hell. Loved it. Yes, I can see the faults, but I love simcoes so I don’t care.

Tap @ Borefts Beer Festival 2009. Hazy ruby red - purple - brown colour. Aroma of sweet malts and hops. Flavour is hoppy, with sweet malts, spices and some grapefruit.

On tap at BBF. Hazy brown body. Nose of caramel and malts. Nice balance of malts and straight up hops. ABV better hidden. Very enjoyable. Amazing how different the three versions are.

On tap at 1st BBF at De Molen. Beer poured a cloudy brown color with a slight off white head. Aroma was very bitter, piney with a slight caramel character. Taste smacks you in the face right away with strong hop bite, along with some fruit notes and a strong alcohol presence.

Had this at the Borefts Beer Festival, De Molen Brewery, Bodegraven, Netherlands 30-10-09 Quite flat in appearance, looks a bit like gravy, there is no head. Simcoe hops are on the nose. Taste is hoppy and alcohol is very well hidden, you would never think that you were drinking such a potent beer. Its strong, sweet and malty but sadly despite some positives its not totally my thing. Tap @ 1ste Borefts. A brown colored beer, with a small beige head. The aroma of malts with bitterhops and caramel. There are also fruits. The taste of hop bitter is explicit. There are also fruits with notes of alcohol. The aftertaste is bitter with alcohol and hints of sweet.

Tap @ 1st BBF, De Molen.
Pours muddy brown with no head. How dry-hopping something can make a beer’s visuals go from 5 to 1, I don’t know... Hoppy, vinious aroma. Pine forest, oak and raisins. Medium carbonation, rather sharp and fat mouthfeel. Flavour is alcoholic, caramel sweetness and lots of dry hoppiness. Far too unbalanced. Far below the regular version.

Draught at 1st Borefts Beer Festival at De Molen. Hazy red brown coloured with a small beige head. Fruity and hoppy aroma of caramel, pine needles, grass and dried fruits. Fruity and hoppy flavour of pine needles, caramel, liquorice, dried fruits and alcohol. Dry hoppy finish. Very unbalanced hoppyness.
