Amazing aroma with loads of coffee of course but the roasted malts and subtile sub aromas like licorice, black berries and others are certainly there in the background. Same goes for the flavour by the way. Just wonderful, well balanced, nearing the edge but not over it.

18 cl bottle at home.
black. huge smooth a little bit fluffy brown head.
aroma of roasted malts, coffee, brown sugar
strong aroma, coffee, roasted, grains, dry liorice bitterness, faint hoppy sourness, lots of coffee, lots of roasted stuff.. aftertaste is about the same as flavor. aftertaste stays long. Coffee and coffee bitterness dominates this beer. it is likely more extreme than weasel, but also a bit less refined imy. sunevdj (1788), Copenhagen OE, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Dec 27, 2009 Tiny bottle at home. Pours a clear dark brown with a big beige head. Sweet with some dryness. Aromas of coffee and old hops. Also some dark chocolate, caramel and residual sugars. Almost full bodied. Overcarbonated. Slightly sticky mouthfeel. Dry finish with more coffee aromas. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 22, 2009 (Bottled) Almost black with a huge, tanned and bubbly, lasting head. Aroma of roasted, smooth coffee and some fermented fruit. Flavor is quite burned-malty with roasted coffee, harsh bitterness, some sourness, and a touch of chocolate. Medium body, foamy carbonation, somewhat thin. Certainly not my beer: too burned, acidic and harshly bitter. fonefan (11891), VestJylland, Denmark
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Draught @ Borefts Beer Festival 2009 - De Molen. Clear dark black brown color with a average to large, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, dark roasted, roasted, coffee, dusty coffe, coffee filter when making good coffee in the morning ;O) Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration. This beer is all about a high quality coffee, both in aroma and flavor. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091030] RickKempen (10), Netherlands
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 14, 2009 I have had this both on tap and from (various) bottles, even the newly released 33 cl version.
I pours a thick caffe frappe black with the nicest of heads.
Realease the coffee aroma with a bang.
Tempting to get a spoon and eat it...
Although it’s pretty high in alcohol it drinks very easily.
A textbook example of a delicately yet dangerously balanced brew!
It is a knock-out beer. Has to be in my top-3 for this year (new releases, that is). Dedollewaitor (3773), Odense, Denmark

Pours black with a surprisingly large, full and fluffy beige head and lacings. Nose is chocolate, ashes and lots of cold coffee. Lively carbonation - full and smooth palate.Taste has a a heavy bitterness from both roasted coffee and hops. Vaguely sticky and oily. Warmth. Long end . . Nice. Maria (6333), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 12, 2009 It’s a black beer with a little red hue along the sides and bottom of the glass. The head is creamy, light-brown and lasting. The aroma has intense notes of coffee, roasted malt, light ashes and grapefruit. The flavor has a light to moderate sweetness and a roasted bitterness, that is rather strong. The notes are bitter coffee, hints of grapefruit, light ashes and even if I really like it, I also think it’s bordering to be too intense.
