Århus2008. 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Aroma is mild wheaty with a light hops note. Flavour follows this with by being mild wheaty and yeasty with a light hoppy twist with a light hoppy fruity note into the finish.7-3-7-3-14=3.4

Hazy orange with a small white head. Nice classic hefeweizen aroma of banana, clove, yeast. Dry flavour with wheat and fruit, and a less classic, but great, hoppy finish.

Small sample at OSLO and Guerde’s tasting on Friday, 5-23-08. Pours a cloudy, brownish orange. Hefeweizen-like aroma features banana and clove scents. Dry taste features lemon and peach flavors. Alcohol taste noticeable. Light to medium body. Lively in the palate.

[Bottle, thanks Islay!] Pours really hazy brown and gold. Aroma was really quite nice--definitely reminiscent of spiced pumpkin bread. Somewhat sweet initially, then spice and the bitterness that often comes from a lot of it, and finally some wheat. Medium mouthfeel with a long finish. Pretty nice, although the taste wasn’t quite as good as the aroma.

OSLO and Guerde’s Memorial Weekend Tasting, 5/23/08. Courtesy of Islay. Very cloudy copper color with no head. Strong Belgian yeast aroma. Slight coriander and wheat. The flavor starts with a little cork and metal, but turns into a solid wheaty and yeasty brew. Slightly thin body.

Corked bottle. Orange blonde, cloudy. Flashes of orange and yeast in the slightly herbal aroma. Herbal, yeasty flavor with touches of pineapple and orange, Somewhat yeasty aftertaste. Softer than you might expect. Hop flashes in the finish. Almost medium bodied.

Bottled at Ølfestival, Århus, 2008. An unclear orangey beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and spicy (from being dry hopped with Amarillo), but also with notes of wheat. The flavor is sweet wheaty with notes of Amarillo hops and cloves, leading to a dry bitter finish. I like the idea of fermenting a wheat bock really warm - and then dry hopping it with Amarillo - now that is a fusion of styles - keep up the good work.
