Sweetish and somewhat unclean caramel aroma. Very full-bodied, hardly any carbonation, very sugary caramel with a somewhat unclean and not overly pleasant rubbery edge. Hardly any bitterness. 010509 fonefan (11891), VestJylland, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 6, 2009 Bottle 75cl. Clear medium dark red brown color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, fruity - berry, apricot, wood, portwine, alcohol, overriped fruit - berry. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. Nice work Menno but i think some more aged will be good for this beer. Bottle. [Papsoe grand American tasting] Spare to no head. No lacework to be observed. Muddy dark amber color. Aroma of raisins, overripe fruit, dusty malty notes, light alcohol and yeasty feel. Full bodied with an average carbonation and alcoholic texture. Heavy sweet flavor with a hint of bitterness. Lingering overripe fruity finish. 7 / 3 / 9 / 4 / 17 = 4.0

Huge thanks for this beer goes to Menno, I was overwhelmed by having three bottles of this for my birthday and getting to name it - also thanks to the middle man (yespr) for bringing these beers home from Belgium.
A hazy deep red beer with no head. The aroma is quite complex with notes of alcohol, wood, Cognag, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of alcohol combined with medium notes of over ripe fruits, wood, and Cognag. The body is powerful and the mouthfeel very smooth. Great beer, and I believe it is going to get better with age. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 2, 2009 Bottle @ jbrus. Clearish red brown color. Aroma is grainy, has oranges and marmalade in it. Grainy taste, bit dryish, cognac, bit sweet. Quite dry palate. skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 31, 2009 Bottled @ Jbrus’. The aroma is winey, grainy, fruity. Bit on the weak side. Hazy, red coloured beer with no head at all. The taste is quite sweet and fruity (oranges and tangerine), grainy. Quite thick and liquor alike. Reminds of the Utopias, but this one is better and cheaper. Can use some cellaring though. Then it will be the bomb. jbrus (4895), Delft, Netherlands

Lovely aroma and flavours that combine great beer and nice cognac together in a balanced way. It would have been a masterpiece if it was only aged a bit (much?) longer.
