On tap, primeur at noon on the second day at The Copenhagen Beer Festival 09. Naked surface, but an inviting deep brown body. Intense aroma of Arabian coffee. Sweet mocha coffee in flavour followed by bitter coffee grounds in a long lasting aftertaste. Works very well and nicely on the palate. A pleasant and promising start to the second day at the festival(16.05.2009).

Bottle. Aroma has roast, coffee, some liquorice and mocha/chocolate. Pitch black coloured with no head at all. Very oily texture. taste is sweet with some roasty bitterness. It has coffee, much coffee. O, this is good!
Rerate (previous 3.9), on tap. The mocha in the taste of this beer is remarkable and wonderfull. Don’t think I have ever had it like this.

Draft. A brown beer with a red shine under a thin brown head. The aroma has strong notes of mocca and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of mocca and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted coffee finish.

Draught at KØ09. Black colour, almost no head. Powerful roasted flavour, good sweetness and alcohol. Warming finish. The coffee tastes fresh-ground. Very late coffee aftertaste. Mild and well-rounded. Very good.

Draught at brewery De Molen. A pitch-black colored beer, with a thick foamy brown head. It leaves a beutiful lace at the glass. The aroma is coffee. It’s like smelling just used coffee-filter. There are notes of chocolate. The taste of pure chocolate, with roasted malts and a lot of coffee. There are hints of dark fruits with some sweets. The aftertaste of bitter coffee with a little sweet and hints of chocolate.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark black body with tan head. Warm and toasty nose. Really nice chocolate taste with a serious walloping of coffee. Utterly delightful. Kept me going for many hours later. To be drunk with caution.
