One of the smoothest things I’ve had. Pure choc and espresso. Stunning finish of freshly gorund coffee. Sublime. One of the best coffee impy stouts I’ve had. It’s good, really good, so drinkable and adorable. A coffee dark beer with a nice beige head. High CO2 pressure, according to the type of beer. Aroma, like a smooth espresso or cafe as the romans say. A hint of liquorice and higher alcohols.
The flavour confirms the aroma, and the caramel flavour is added. I expected the hop bitters but this beer ends, where this review started, with coffee. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 2, 2009 On tap at Café België in Utrecht, 12th June 09. Pitch black with a tan head. Superb coffee aroma, likewise a great refined coffee taste. No harshness, just very expensive tasting coffee. The palate is ultra smooth and just right for savouring every mouthful. Sweet yet bitter, this is a delight. tarjei (1748), Bryne, Norway

Aroma is lots of mocca and coffee. Flavor is very smooth with coffee, mocca, roasted malt and balanced hops in the background. I want more of this! NoiZe (1315), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 29, 2009 Black colored brew, brown head. Nice. Coffee in the aroma, huge and rich. Flavor is full of coffee too, rich, very rich. Overall very nice. bierkoning (6043), La Tropica, Netherlands
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 13, 2009 Updated: Jul 26, 2009Bottle, straight from the brewer’s warm room. Deep dark brown color, almost opague. Glorious aroma of dark chocolate and freshly milled coffee beans of top quality mocha. Malty sweet, full bodied beer with dark chocolate and very fresh mocha coffee in the flavor. Very low on carbon, but I’d say the dark chocolate and coffee flavors are only enhanced by this lack of carbon.
I’d say: drink young to preserve the brilliant chocolate and coffee flavors.
Re-rate @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2009. Well carbonated now. Still sweet. Next to the strong coffee notes nutmeg is now clearly noticeable. skortila (2903), Bunnik, Netherlands
