Black as Tevez’s heart, with elbow patch brown head. Aroma is head swimmingly awesome and heart achingly lovely. Like a dustbin lid sized chocolate cake. Rich but smooth flavour. Perfect mouthfeel. The oak aging gives a hint of vanilla, almost bordering on coconut. Almost liquor like. Has a wine like quality somewhere in the huge finish, not in the palate er somewhere else. Lovely. Will definitely have to re-rate in a larger quantity if I get the chance. And I’ll certainly be looking for it. YK23 (271), Haifa, Israel

I don’t care that it is August. TBone (6868), Pori, Finland

Opaque black, small steady tan head. Lots of vanilla and whisky in the nose. Full-bodied. Flavor is dominated by roasted malts, vanilla, whiskey, some peat. It’s a bit sweeter than toasted. You find Tsarina Esra base here easily. Good beer ;) thebeertourist (2822), Oslo, Norway

One of the only fourty bottles that this rarity is filled on. Had the chance to taste this in the real sorrunding - and it couldnt be better. Sitting in de Molens warehouse, an old cheese storage house which has a naturaly cool temperature and an extreem coolnes to it. Situated next to the charming canals of Bodegraven on an summer afternoon. Sitting there among all the bottles and winebarrels from de Molen and taste a lovely and interesting beer like this is priceless. Thanx a lot Menno.
The pour is darkbrown almost black. The aroma is saaz-hopped with nose of vinegar, apples, plum - a little lactose, english laqurice and alcohol.
The taste is very complex with a nice sourness and tempered alcohol taste. There is notes of laquirice, ashes and chocolate.
The palate is picking your tounge and is pretty dry with a loong lasting vinoes finish with notes from the bourdoux-barrels and some bitterness.
Very nice. anders37 (4792), Malmö, Sweden
