Taste is bitter with yeast & spice. Finish is also bitter. Mouth is fairly well carbonated. Body is light to match. Overall, a nice "funky fresh" brew. durhambeer (1229), Durham, USA

Yeast, spice, complexity. A great beer. gronlampa (5), USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Simply put... My wife made fun of me for the fact that when I popped the cork and poured it into a snifter I unconsciously said "it... it’s beautiful!" Sight, smell, and tastes. I don’t know how to describe is aside from a very unprofessional, "it is a flowery bouquet of wonderful wild goodness." I am going to get kicked off soon for such lame reviews. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Gold with a light white head. Smell is bright, funky, dusty and spiced yeast.
Taste is somewhat bland, dusty and light funk. Almost numbing clove like effect on the mouth. Thin, and quite dry. Faint sweetness and lightly funky with not much flavor. Fizzy mouthfeel.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 8, 2008 This is madness in a bottle. The scent of wild yeast is intense: reminds me of a used pair ex-girlfriend’s panties, which normally triggers positive emotions, but here it’s just kinda funky. Other descriptors that come to mind are cider, gym shoes, Value Village shirt racks. Flavour-wise, this shockingly malty along with being cidery and acidic. Pleasant, but the aroma/taste disconnect is nothing short of mind-bending. Glad I got to try this. It brings back great, long-lost memories. I love you, underwear beer. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 7, 2008 On tap at Victory bar on Division Street in Portland, Oregon--Poured a deep amber-copper body with brown highlights that shined in the light. The first thing I noticed about this beer was the potent and charismatically fruity, earthy nose. Sweet, tart, yeasty, and complex as the day is long. Flavor was unbelievably quaffable and rolled like warm cherries over the tongue. Not too sweet, not too sour/tart. Just bleeding yummy. illidurit (896), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Poured into a tulip glass. Gold colored with an off white head that rises effervescently just beyond the rim. Some scattered lacing.
Aroma is heavy on booze, with some brett funk and citrus.
Flavor is mostly honey with a dry hoppy bitterness. Some musty earthy brett influence, as well as some rindy sourness. Similar to some Belgian IPAs. Also tastes like what Ommegeddon should have been.
High carbonation, which is pretty appropriate for the style. Light body but enough flavor to balance it.
High alcohol but no trace of it in the flavor. Quite drinkable.

Lots of gym socks and feet and Brett phenolics in the aroma. Very little sour. Not sweet or dry. Medium to heavy body. It’s OK, but needs a food accompanyment. A little Orvalish character.
