Bottle shared with biegaman, blankboy, tupalev & HogTownHarry - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Bright golden at first, getting murky with a second pour, and with a small white head. Aroma is fantastic - malty, fruity (apple, apricot), musty and tart, with some slight medicinal/band-aid notes. Flavour is... odd - it starts very light and clean, develops some nice musty/funky notes in the middle, and finishes with some vague herbal/citrus notes. I liked it, but the flavour disappointed me a bit after the amazing aroma.

Bottle (750ml). Shared with biegaman, blankboy, GregClow and tupalev, my bottle. Murky orange, decent lasting fluffy white head. Lovely spicy-sweet aroma - like cinnamon-heavy apple pie - sweet, yeasty and thick, very mild alcohol. Taste - similar, less sweet, more herbal hops and alcohol bitterness - nice, but a little weak and could be maltier. Initially thick but finishes watery - and quickly - mild everthing mouthfeel. Smells awesome, the rest ... just decent to good.

Reinaert Flemish Wild Ale 330ml bottle. Hazy golden yellow hue. Finger width of white head. Large spotty head. Musty tart cherry sour nose. Caramel and citrus aromas. Apples and cinnamon. Smells great. Full and sweet. Bubblegummy, then a bitter tart sour apple and cherry tart hop finish. Sweet effervescence and a sweet bubblegum grainy wheat flaovr. Dry citrusy finish. Smooth and a bit musty. Pretty good.

Bottle name Reinaert Flemish Wild Ale. Pours hazy yellow / light orange with a moderate sized off-white head. Aroma is tart with light fruits in the forefront, light peppery spice. There was not much malt to mention. Medium body with a good amount of sharp carbonation. Taste starts out with a sweet / tart like taste with sharp carbonation. There is a good amount of white grape taste mixed in. The finish has some added spice and yeast character. There are some earthy and muddled tastes. This beer is okay, but doesn’t seem to have a focused direction of what it is trying to do, maybe that is where the ’wild’ part of the name comes into play.

75 cl bottle. Quite clear, pale golden colour, the head is fluffy and white. Sour fruit aroma, brettanomyces, very leathery Orval-like, but more fruity. Flavours are very bitter, yet some sweet fruitiness remains. Creamy texture, long dry finish, good carbonation. A beer that proves that great new things are still coming out of Belgian breweries.

LCRBM2: lemon aroma. Strong brett character. Horse blanket. Hoppy flavor, almost oily, like a mix of Orval and lambic. Oily mouthfeel. You really can’t taste the promised 9% ABV.

Hazy yellow coloured beer with an average white head. Strong yeasty aroma, fruity and herby. Somewhat sweet-sour alcoholic taste. Finish has a strong fruity malty taste. More shorter ending.

Strong sour taste. Mix of wild yeast and apple. This is not a beer for everyone. My soon to be wife turned her nose up at it. This is what Jolly Pumpkin almost got right with Bam Biere. I’ll try not not to finish the whole bottle in one night.
