Pours a cloudy gold with a thick, long-lasting white head. The nose has orange and citrus-blossom notes and hints of honey with a light clove-spice touch. In the mouth, an initial sour acidity is followed by a surprisingly bitter barnyard note, a bit of sweet malt and a chalky, bitter bite in the finish. Very well-balanced alcohol for 8.5%. Interesting, unusual, and clearly not your average daily drinker for most of us. rauchbier (3002), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England

An above-average beer without much to put it above your average Belgian Tripel. Fruity taste with a hoppy kick. Lots of clove flavor. Very nice on the palate, but I probably would have been more impressed if this bottle had cost about half of what it did. xibalba89 (147), New York, New York, USA

Aroma is lightly spiced... ginger on top, banana and clove underneath... nice. Flavor is subdued, but excellent. A nice full body at the start, fading away into spices and light fruits. Reminds me of some of the spiced Smisje beers. Refreshing and pleasant. elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA
