Commercial Description:
A strong blonde ale of about 8.5% alc. by volume that claims vaguely to be an “abbey” beer, Guldenberg bears no resemblance whatsoever to any Tripel you may have sampled, except in color perhaps. It is very hoppy and malty (though not quite as assertive as De Ranke’s XX Bitter). Made in small batches only on the weekends, they are quickly gaining a reputation as the best specialty beers of Belgium.

Bottle. Nose is yeasty esters, lighter fruit notes of peaches, banana, cherries. Opaque cloudy pale orange with a bit head. Spicey sweetness, lots of hop presence with hints of aforementioned fruits. Orange peel dryness, generally a lot of citrus. Very Enjoyable.

A very nice and hoppy beer had it on draft as well as from bottle. Very balanced and a good combination of taste. As well some bitterness as something sweet

Robe blonde dorée très claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche qui s’estompe. Arômes de prunes, de levures, de sucre et de blé. Saveurs de levures, de prunes, de pain, d’alcool et de céréales.

0,33 bottle. Dark yellow with low white head. Medium carbonation but feel fizzy and the roof of your mouth. Taste is bit salt and bit sour, but any of flavours become before others. Some sweetness. Some yeast. Some bitter finish. But i didn’t feel hops that much. All very, very well balanced. Really positive about this one
