Light hops in the aroma. Fairly earthy aroma and flavor, dirt, salt, and light hops; some flowers. Not bad at all, and it hides its high abv well. Dedollewaitor (3759), Odense, Denmark

Golden with fine white head. Aroma and taste of yeast/fruit & hops. Finish is little bitter and lasting. Great! Earlier Rating: 2/14/2006 Total Score: 3.7 From the same brewery as XX Bitter, De Ranke. A Belgium Tripel. Golden/orange with white head. An allround tripel- not to spicy for beginners and not too boring for "advanced tasters". Like the quality of a good Belgium beer the finish lasts and is very comftable. A good place to start your Belgish adventure! DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 16, 2006 Poured a golden to amber color with a nice initial head with good retention. Lacing was solid but typical for a Belgian. Aroma was of yeast, coriander, pepper, and light citrus. Tangerines came out mid-glass. The flavor was citrus (slight sour), yeast, coriander and other spices, pepper, tangerines, and a minty note. Mouthfeel was moderate and amply carbonated. This came across like a saison and was darned enjoyable in the summer on vacation! joergen (8627), Frederiksberg, Denmark
