deflagro (5), Lund, Sweden does not count Nov 6, 2009 Very red, cloudy and with a pink head. Typical lambic character in the smell; musty, sour and with a lot of cherries. The taste is quite sour with large amounts of cherry and some malt. A very good beer balancing in between lambic and sour ale. daknole (2802), Plantation, Florida, USA Nov 1, 2009 Reddish pour. Sour cherries, wet wood, tart citrus on the nose. Flavor is sour with lots of sour cherries, vinegar, lemon, cobwebs and dust. Dry and good. Parket (214), Bruges, Belgium Nov 1, 2009 75 cl bottle@poatersgat, dark pink/reddish colour, pink unstable head. Smell: sour, cherries. Taste: sour, sweet, woody, grapefruit, lemon. Very nice one! wimpie133 (126), Brugge, Belgium Oct 30, 2009 Bottle, 75 cl, shared with Parket @ Poatersgat. A beer with a natural red ’kriek’ colour with only very little pink foam disappearing fast. A smell of cherries surrounded with sourness comes into your nose. The taste is also very nice: cherries, with some sourness around it, a bit malty on the background, some sweetness included and a light tart finish. Overall a beer with nothing expectional, but also without any weak points and overall a very good and nice beer to drink! sigma23 (217), , Maine, USA Oct 28, 2009 pours light red with no real head but lots of bubbles. aroma is overwhelming tart cherries and wet hay. drinks the same but very tart on the front with a bit of must/old barn in the middle, and sour/almost bitter cherries on the finish. pretty tasty but quite sour. madmitch76 (120), , Essex, England Oct 19, 2009 5th April 2008
Sour dry cherry beer. A little bit sucking lemon, a little bit dry and a little hard work. MrChopin (620), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 18, 2009 Light pop, rich red body with a bubbly pink head that goes quickly. The nose is definitely more of a fruity lambic with the dominant tart citrus and hay, only cherry and wood emerging from beneath. Flavor is sweeter than anticipated, more cherry and malt than the nose, hints of tart lemon and more evident brett than in most lambics, also vinegar and light cork. Woody yet juicy finish with malt growing as it warms. Nothing screams exceptional here, but all around goodness. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Oct 1, 2009 Bottle at Falling Rock. Pours a deep, mysterious, and cloudy candy read with an aroma of sour cherry Luden’s and raspberry tart soaked in leathery cedar. Flavor is an invigorating sour bomb of cherry, raspberry, leather, and cedar. This beer simply refuses to leave the tongue. Woah. So good I need a cigarette.
