Aroma of strong tart cherries, some peaty woodsy malt, and some oaky funk. The flavor is mostly tart cherries, with some boggy, peaty malt notes. Not as tart as Cantllon’s offerings, but much less sweet than the New Glarus Red. I’ll bet a mix of 2 parts Cantillon kriek with 3 parts New Glarus would give an approximation of this beer. At any rate, it is rock solid. cab (864), Denmark

First sample poured carefully without sediment. Red coloured with a pink head. Sharp, fruity aroma with lots of woody notes, spice and pepper. To taste there is lots of pleasing dryness, tart cherry character, oak and mostly sour. Rather like a kriek lambic. With the sediment poured in the it was less attacking, the sourness smoothed out and the carbonation also. A really rather interesting beer. harrisoni (6798), Ashford, Kent, England

Sour farmyard aroma. Faint red cherry. Interesting sourness in mouth. Farmyard is quite strong on aroma. Added a bit of yeast and made it creamier. The guy pouring it, poured it clear and gave us the sediment in a separate glass. hopscotch (5483), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Woodsy, acidic aroma. Must, lemon and cherries. Sour cherry flavor with lots of astringent wood and no sweetness. Medium-bodied and sharp with sufficient carbonation. Sour, dry finish. Very nice! biggcb (464), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
