Deep cherry red, clear, small firm reddish head. Earthy, sour fruity nose - very Cantillon-like. Sour cherries, overall somehow watery palate with metallic notes. Dry, delicious sour-fruity finish and long sour aftertaste. Earthy notes. Alcohol is completely hidden. Extremely drinkable "lambic", just lacks some "deep fruityness" of eg. Cantillon Kriek. sunevdj (1785), Copenhagen OE, Denmark

Very sour with aromas of vinegar and sour cherries. Sour and slightly bitter finish. We tried to mix this one with the abnormaly sweet Kasteel Donker - They both got a bit better. Pours a dark cloudy red. Bubbly, fast dissipating pinkish, white head. Aroma sour (funky) with slight hints of vanilla and oak. Flavor acidic and sour. Slight cherry notes come through as it warmed. Finish was dry and no offensive lasting aftertaste. Mouthfeel was fizzy, carbonation was soild. erway (1002), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 15, 2006 Pours a beautiful glowing reddish pink with an equally beautiful head of pink froth and lacing. The aroma is heavily acidic with notes of horse-hair, almonds, vanilla, and a huge wallop of sour cherries. The body is spritzy, light, refreshing, and exceedingly dry. The flavors are dominated with the sour cherries that are encased and magnified by the incredible sourness of the brett and lactic cultures. The finish is dry and quick with no off-flavors whatsoever. hiphops (280), caldwell, New Jersey, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 20, 2006 Bottled. Murky red body. Nose is muddled cherry, soured fruits, and light woodiness. Taste is tart cherries but has a light sweetness to it. Some light barnyardy type flavors, along with some wet wood and a hint of earth tones add to this. Body is sharp and acidic with a dryness throughout around the edges and during the finish. Ends with more sour cherry, light woody flavors, faint damp earthiness, and light barnyardy notes. auderale (572), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 20, 2006 Almost vinegar like sour cherry aroma. Red colored beer with a thick and creamy pink head that lasts. Acidic and sour cherry flavor is mouth puckering yet extremely easy to drink. Almost chuggable. Dry and tangy finish. Good stuff.
