Has a little lambic aroma and sour cherries aroma. Taste of sour cherries and a little acid taste. You don’t taste the alcohol at all. A lovely bee. Friends that never tasted a kriek before liked it. Not realnuts over this beer, pours rosey dark pinkish with a real light pinkish head. smell is one of the worst things I think I have ever smelled in my life. Taste is extraordinarily tart, but it does actually have a beer flavor somewhere in there, still not my cup of tea Nate (2570), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 30, 2005 Bitter gueuze cherry aroma, tartaric acid, wet canvas. Cherry skins. Medium dark rhubarb red, with no head. Medium body with high carbonation, carbonic burn. Starts tart and fruity, with medium cherry taste. Acidic the whole way through, with chalky bitter finish and after. Bitter is more pronounced than in some others, but refreshing. MullMan (1086), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 29, 2004 Bottle: Poured a bright reddish/brown beer with a medium head with average retention. Aroma is overpowered by cherries and sourness/tart - smell very much like a lambic – kriek. Taste is dominated at first by sour cherries and finish of a very sour note. I very much appreciated this beer but the lack of sweetness to balance the sourness would limit the number of bottles I would drink in one session. JPDIPSO (4944), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2004 Amber rose color with a sharp sounding, pinkish head. Aromas of cherries, with a background of lemon zest, an old abandon building and iron. Near perfect feel for this style, lightly oily start with a mild carbonation that lifts it off the tongue. Balanced sour flavors with cherries cobwebs and hints of pale malt. Just a great balance kriek. Thanks SecretSantaScott. Cherry flavors linger for a very long time on this one.
