The appearance is orange gold with a foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma and soapy at the end. The palate is smooth. I think this is likable to a point but not one I want more than once a year. fonefan (11888), VestJylland, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 25, 2006 This is a good beer but I would be very unhappy if I had purchased this for the retail of $30. A dry, well-hopped bee. Lots of chalk. This is very well carbonated and the thick head as well as the abundance of bubbles in the golden liquid make this better looking than most. The body is fairly heavy. In addition to chalk, there is some clove and other light spices as well. Some yeast is in there but plays a minor role. Clearly well made, but I don’t know how it sells at the price they are asking. Thanks to Joebrew for this one. Theis (3791), Denmark
