Spontanious weekend 07. Notes say: Sweeter than other kriekenlambics, but in a great way. Really cherry, balanced dry tartness, super drinkable.

The best kriekenlambic i tasted on the festival at Buggenhout. Medium bodied and very smoot drinking

Draught Hazy brick red; no head. Beautiful old cherry, cherrystones, speculoos nose, parsley. Speculoos, but old one, which has gone stale, nearly rancid, very strange. Of course a lot of acidity, lactic acid, acetic, but remarkably little fruitiness, just some cherry at the lips. Medium bodied. I substitute of much taste, the cherries lend some rounded body to the beer. Very original kriek. Not what one expects, but it is not bad at all.

A Mes rate: Draught. Cloudy pale red colour. Aroma of cinamon, spice and raspberry. Lovely cough candy note to the flavour that is plenty sour and puckery with a strong straw finish. Knowing what I know of De Troch, this was a pleasant surprise.

Draught @ 16th Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007, Opstal. Unclear light red color with virtually none head. Aroma is light cherry, berries, light acidic (fruit fresh). Flavor is light sweet moderate acidic with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

Draught@The Weekend of Spontaneous fermentation. Pretty dry, and lightly sour/acidic, with some lightly sweet cherry characters. I actually thought this was quite decent, and something i’d be quite happy drinking, if there was nothing else on offer!
