Ober (372), Best, Netherlands Aug 4, 2008 Updated: Aug 11, 2008At the tasting session by Joes. A clear amber colored beer, with a little beige head. An aroma of wood, with spices, some cinnamon. The taste has sweets of caramel, spicey. It feels warm. It has a light bitter aftertaste. It’s not a tripel at all. Apart from that is a very drinkable beer.
MiP (6017), Flensburg, Germany Jan 23, 2008 Bottle, 8%. Sour aroma. Hazy red/orange colour. Small white head. Some alcohol flavour, marcipan, slightly sweet. Not very good. Papsoe (10221), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 6, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of MiP. Clear, deep golden with a white head. Rather fruity aroma. Full-bodied, quite malty with lots of fruit, some sulphur and a lightly bitter finish. A decent brew. 240807 bierkoning (4917), La Tropica, Netherlands Jan 16, 2007 Bottle. Orange color, cloudy. Mandarin aroma with some vegetable notes. Sugary sweet flavor, yeasty with raspberry flavors. Amateuristically brewed. jbrus (4178), Delft, Netherlands Sep 16, 2006 Bottled. Had a veggies aroma at the start but soon rapsberries. Light hazy, deep yellow color, off-white irregular head, fair lace. Sweet, very fruity, light bitter, raspberry, sparkling, soft. Nice if you like real sweet tripels.
