De Wijkgaard Betuws Witte

Bottle, 5.5%. Fruity aroma, a little unpleasant. Hazy, but shiny golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is strangely vinous and a little fruity. Some old bread in the aftertaste. Reminds me a little of white wine, or perhaps champagne yeast. But not too successful, IMO.

Bottle. This beer is miscalled Witte, because it is indeed a Belgian type blonde ale. Pinkish blonde color. Touches of yeast and raspberry in the aroma. Veggies (celery) and raspberry in the flavor. Hint of tartness. Just a tad thin. Amateuristically brewed beer, but not too bad.

Bottled. Fruity and yeasty aroma. Hazy, amber/brown color, beige head, fair lace. Light sweet, fruity, figues?, astringent, raisin, caramel, burns in my throat. Belgian Ale although called Witte.
