Mar 22, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Plump honeyed cereals dive into a void of a finish in this clean and corny lager for the masses.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the clear blond.
-Some wooden hops are felt in the background, but they are distant.
-The packaging and flavor profile are obvious knock-offs of Sleeman’s products, which is not really attractive...
-I know good lagers are few and far between in Canada, but that doesn’t mean I’d settle for this if I badly wanted a drinkable lager.

Feb 15, 2009 Bottle. Gold with a light layer of white lasting foam maintained by steady bubbles. Creamy body. Interesting flavour. Hints of corn, cookie and nut.

Sep 11, 2008 (Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival in Victoria, BC, September 8th 2008. Pours a lasting white, thin head with a clear golden body. Nose is mildly lemony and corn. Somewhat tonic tongue, though the texture is pretty good. There is a lasting corn meal finish. Good. 7/3/6/3/12

Jul 11, 2006 Clear yellow gold colour with thin white head. Mild malt nose with slight yeast hints. Sweet malt taste with mild bitter finish.

Nov 7, 2005 GCBF. Poured to a light straw colour. Tight creamy head with minimal lacing. Aroma is crisp with a spicy note. Taste is very clean, but a bit bland. Not very sweet...squeaky dry. Not bad on this hot day. Not myfavourite lager, but a great alternative to the commercial dreck.

Apr 5, 2003 Light tan with little head. Slight carbonation. Aroma is malty and little else. Flavour is light and watery with nothing really specialexcept some light herb notes. Finish is thin and forgettable.
