If you saw the list of other beers on special for $3.25 at Max’s that night you’d clearly see I ordered in poor judgement. I was only jonesing for a rating and didn’t think a sub-par beer would be on the list. No real reason to seek out this beer, I redeeemed myself afterwards by ordering a Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball for $3.25. cbkschubert (2027), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Very light lacing. Aroma is sweet grain and very light herbal hops. Flavor is much of the same. Has an odd aftertaste (metal?). Light to medium body. This beer isn’t as bad as everyone lets on. I would rather drink this than Bud. I like the can too. Thanks Alan. Dunkelstar (14), Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA

I saw it and said to myself, "That’s going to be crap . . . but I’ll give it a whirl". Well . . . not far from the truth at $16.50 (or something) for a 30 pack. I have difficulty coming up with one redeeming tidbit for this one. Maybe if they donate money for troop aid or something. Ok, so this beer isn’t good. It is pours a golden hue slightly darker then Budweiser, minimal head (probably artificially carbonated to begin with), the smell is off . . . kind of skunky almost, taste is overly sweet, with a slight after taste of a beer that is flat. No bitterness at all . . . i.e., no hops. I’m keeping one can unopened for prosperity down the line, years from now to look back on. :p stefanje (957), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 0.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Apr 3, 2008 Via trade with Linus stick.12 oz can. I asked for this one. Pours a pale yellow color with small white head that immediately disappeared-blink and you’ll miss it.. The aroma was difficult to pick out--but there was a light odor of corn and something else sharp with an ammonia-like quality. The flavor was all sweet; there is sugar, saccharine, sweet corn, and rock candy. The brewers must have saved a fortune on hops, there aint none in here. They also saved a bunch on malts, they are similarly lacking. The palate is thin and watery with a gritty mouthfeel, sort of like biting on a piece of tin foil. The finish was thankfully short with a metallic and sweet aftertaste. Overall: I love a bad beer in much the same way I love a really bad movie. The senses are stress tested, and my appreciation for the finer thing in life are more appreciated.

If you are familiar with the ubiquitous american lagers that City Brewing makes as melanie, you know the flavor of this beer. Smelly sweet corn with hints of sweetness for the olfactory. Rude crude american heartland industrial flavors, metal and all. Tho I respect the attempt at the name, I think I choose to defend myself against the lagers beers of melanie’s genre. This must be a rename of some other melanie beer. I hope this ain’t for the enjoyment of the troops, American lager from Iron City is much more palatable than this. Forget about it. If you’ve tasted Camo, this is just a watered down version of that. I must say however, I do acknowledge the fact that our troops everywhere are fighting for freedom. Its a known fact that this beer is really James Madison’s piss that has been saved for 2 centuries, fermenting and marinating in American pride. It is now being released to boost patriotism and to help support our troops. GOD BLESS AMERICA. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Very pale gold pour with nose of corny pale malt, some hops, and some metallic thiols. Watery palate, with corny malt and some offy metallic notes. Horrendous. Honestly, if you don’t love this beer than you are either a terrorist or a god damn democrat. The aftertaste of this beer is the equivalent of shoving my fathers sweaty gym socks in my mouth and than masterbating to my mothers high school yearbook.
