Very pale gold pour with nose of corny pale malt, some hops, and some metallic thiols. Watery palate, with corny malt and some offy metallic notes. Horrendous. If you are familiar with the ubiquitous american lagers that City Brewing makes as melanie, you know the flavor of this beer. Smelly sweet corn with hints of sweetness for the olfactory. Rude crude american heartland industrial flavors, metal and all. Tho I respect the attempt at the name, I think I choose to defend myself against the lagers beers of melanie’s genre. This must be a rename of some other melanie beer. I hope this ain’t for the enjoyment of the troops, American lager from Iron City is much more palatable than this. Forget about it. If you’ve tasted Camo, this is just a watered down version of that. I must say however, I do acknowledge the fact that our troops everywhere are fighting for freedom. DO IT!! cbkschubert (2013), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Very light lacing. Aroma is sweet grain and very light herbal hops. Flavor is much of the same. Has an odd aftertaste (metal?). Light to medium body. This beer isn’t as bad as everyone lets on. I would rather drink this than Bud. I like the can too. Thanks Alan. LinusStick (1848), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 0.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Absolutely dreadful. This was a drain pour. I was skeptical when I saw that this beer comes in 8-packs and it cost 4.50. Do the math. How good can a beer that is being retailed for .56 a can be? Answer: You get what you paid for. Aroma was dirty socks and skunk. Pour was a light gold with no head. Taste was not like beer. It was like dirty dishrags with a strong metal taste. There is no beer taste to this at all. Come to think about it, you DON’T get what you paid for. 56 cents for this garbage is a rip off. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA

I drank this while building levels 4 and 4.5 of the beer room. It is an excellent session working mans beer that has some brass to it. America, Fuck ya. MrBunn (1548), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Bottle (although mine says "Brewed and bottled by Coastal Brewing Co. Dover, DE") Be all that as it may, this pours a golden color that doesn’t match the Pale Lager category at all. The head is confusing, too. It isn’t fizzy, but it’s dense and foamy looking. Even the aromas are full and complex. Flavor is simply not pale lager... it is creamy and sweet... thick and almost chewy. Not a pale lager. No way. JFGrind (1354), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Purchased a bottle @ Max’s on Broadway for $3.25. If you saw the list of other beers on special for $3.25 at Max’s that night you’d clearly see I ordered in poor judgement. I was only jonesing for a rating and didn’t think a sub-par beer would be on the list. No real reason to seek out this beer, I redeeemed myself afterwards by ordering a Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball for $3.25.
