Commercial Description:
Gentle and warming, this rich mahogony ale is filled with moments of fig and raisin. Brewed with an international blend of barlies, thid brew is warming and complex without being over spiced or over powering. Enjoy before its gone.

on tap at Defiant. Dark browin in color. Medium sized head. Aroma is malty, with spice and light notes of fruit. Taste is moderately sweet with raisin, citrus, dark malts and spices. Medium bodied. Has that defiant yeasty "house" character.

Brown without much head. The aroma is orange and coriander. Flavor I’d pretty much the same as in not much going on.

On Cask at the Brazen head, Brooklyn...This beer was dark brown, with a tan head and small bubbles. It is very, very smokey - almost like salami, bacon. It is kind of funky that way, since there are so many sweet malts, and is even sugary - brown sugar and molasses abound! There is a slight alcohol burn.

(Cask at Brazen Head) Black with no head. Lifeless body with soya sauce and spices, a bit sweet and syrupy, some red meat blood! Annoying soy sauce in the finish. Bad. Defiant is not strong enough of a word, this is Insolent.

This was a very dark brew. Nose was spice all over, but the taste was not over whelming. As it warmed the spices grew to an almost over the top, but It stopped short. Great christmas brew!
