JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Nov 21, 2009 Tap at Barcade. Deep amber pour. The nose is quite clean with a touch of light caramel and toasted malt. A little bit cereally with an unusual fruitiness on the back that seems to be malt derived. It’s fairly strange, but pretty tasty. PilsnerPeter (2612), Flushing, New York, USA Nov 19, 2009 Tap at Barcade: Deep amber off white film. Clean grainy aroma- some toasted & caramelized barley- not much else. Light body with rounded carbonation. Some toasted barley flavors and mild husk. Pretty clean and some some discernible U.S. hop fruitiness. A one dimensional session that is preferred over the macro offerings such as Killian’s Red. vtafro (469), , New Jersey, USA Nov 18, 2009 Draft @ the nearby pub. Nothing special here, brown pour with some head. Was a better choice than the normal macros, but not by a lot. Some malt flavors and smooth texture. BREWMUSKCLES (1067), New Jersey, USA Aug 4, 2009 brown fresh malt somewhat sweet and good. low aroma and moderate palate sorry i dont have anyhing elso to say. weezfour (122), Oradell, New Jersey, USA Jun 6, 2009 Another stellar offering from Defiant. If you are in the area, definitely get your ass onto one of those bar stools. How do you beat $3.25 beers that are brewed within arms distance? Amazing. Nice and dark, bit of a bite, but still goes down smooth as anything. yobdoog (1431), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Apr 20, 2009 Man this used to be great. A dark rich creamy full body lager. Last time I had it at the brewery it was light, still crisp with some good flavor but definitely not the big lager it once was. I feel the batches tend to change. j12601 (1181), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA Feb 28, 2009 On tap at the Peekskill Brewery. Pours a clear brownish amber with a light tan head. Aromas of toast, and a hint of sweet malt. Mouthfeel is medium and just about empty. Light bitter finish. Essentially an unremarkable lager… I didn’t find anything in here that would make me want to drink this again, but it wasn’t bad. It just didn’t do anything Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 19, 2008 This brown pour is very malty and sweet. The aroma has notes of caramel. It has an unexpected hop finish and is overall very drinkable.
