The nose is quite clean with a touch of light caramel and toasted malt. A little bit cereally with an unusual fruitiness on the back that seems to be malt derived. It’s fairly strange, but pretty tasty. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 21, 2007 Bottle from Lou18 via Mystery Swap 2.0. Pours turbid deep coppery/brownish with a big, fluffy, off-white head. The head is louder than a two-bit whore who’s just been stiffed. The aroma is caramel malty, with some citrus (orange, tangerine), hops, and slight spicy notes. The flavor is caramel malty with a solid hop bill, mid-palate mango, tangerine, and black pepper, and some finishing cognacy notes. Very complex in flavor and aroma, with an extremely lively, well balanced fruity and hoppy palate that provided some aromas and flavor hints that I seldom see in lagers, but would like to see more of. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 2, 2007 Pours a medium amber/ dirty coppery brown, slightly hazy, and a thin lasting sticky head. Aroma is lightly hoppy with some citrus and herbal hints and a light malt crispness. Deep toasted malt flavors with light nuttiness, and some caramel sweetness and more hops. Nice crisp clean bitterness and smooth finish. This is nice and easy drinking. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 25, 2009 Tap at Barcade. Biscuity, weak aroma, a little mint and berry in there. The flavor picks up, with bright orange jam, biscuit, lettuce, and cookie. Tasty. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA

Clean grainy aroma- some toasted & caramelized barley- not much else. Light body with rounded carbonation. Some toasted barley flavors and mild husk. Pretty clean and some some discernible U.S. hop fruitiness. A one dimensional session that is preferred over the macro offerings such as Killian’s Red. JohnC (2283), Mission Viejo, California, USA
