Aroma of spices(corriander?), fruit and earthy. Flavor is nice and spicy with lemon peel...just a hint of bitterness. Medium body and highly carbonated. I rather enjoyed this brew! | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2007 Thanks to MikeTD. Hazy golden pour, medium white head. Aroma is spicy belgian yeast, wehat, penols and pepper. Taste is basically the same thing. Lots of carbonation and big spicy flavor with some honey to it. True to it’s style. egajdzis (3625), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 25, 2007 Poured a hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, citrus fruits, Belgian spices, and banana. Taste of white pepper, coriander, citrus fruits, vanilla, and light honey, with a bit of alcohol in the finish. Like EDA said, most of these bigger pale Belgians were awfully similar. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Nov 24, 2007 Bottle at brewery. Nice looking beer as it’s goldish yellow with a puffy head. Aroma is just like the Abominle and farmhouse. In fact, unfortunately most of his beers taste way too similar. The best thing I can say is this beer doesn’t piss me off as much as his other shit, um I mean stuff. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2007 25 oz bottle, via Lou18. Pours a crystal clear (on first pour) dark gold body with a nice fluffy foamy bright white head that slowly receded leaving lots of heavy lacing. Great fruity nose with some tropical fruits, banana, light bubble gum, lots of sweet smelling pale malt, and a touch of yeast. Very heavy, almost syrupy maltiness comes across as a bit too overpowering at first. Lots of peppery alcohol on the very warming finish. The banana/tropical fruity notes that are in the nose are pretty obscured by the heavy boozy alcohol. The yeast emerges a little on the late finish. Mouthfeel is heavy and thick with moderate fizzy prickly carbonation. Overall, I think that this one just needed to be lightened up a bit. Not sure what the alcohol percentage was on this but it was clearly noticable. Must be at least 10%. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Tap at Brewtopia 2007: Cloudy light golden pour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma which is a nice mix of ripe banana and some tarter fruits like green apples and Asian pears. There’s a touch of farmhouse in there as well. Flavor has a peppery alcohol character, with some mild bubblegummy sweetness in the background. Some fruity phenolics of banana and a lemony character. A simple example of the style, yet very quaff-able. golubj (1287), Sunnyvale, California, USA

Typical aroma of belgian yeast, lemon, citrus and spices. The flavor was similar, but not too memorable. Easy drinking though. alexanderj (2252), Chino Hills, California, USA
