Bottle@Home. Sweet cherry juice aroma. Red color, pink small head, good lace. Very sweet, cherry juice and candy, soft mouthfeel. As a lambic not so great but the flavors aren’t bad. Are we sure this isn’t brewed at Belle-Vue?

Roskilde Festival Tasting. Pours a nice deep red with a pink head. Sweet with lots of almond and marzipan. Mild sourness. Lots of sweetness with the cherries. Reminds me a bit of a good version of a Cherry Coke. Low carbonation. Very good.

[Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm] Deep hazily ruby. Fresh aroma of cherries of near schaerbeekse quality. Too sweet with rich cherry flavour. There’s plenty of almonds and glue as weell, and the acidity cannot balance the sweetness. The aroma is lovely, but after that it takes a wrong turn.

Pours deep red and a frothy pink head. Sweet cherry pie aroma, not bad but lacks some sourness. Overly sweet cherry flavor as well, rather thin mouth. Commercial and boring.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Beautiful dark, red colour with a (surprisingly) retentive pinkish head. Very strong cherry notes in the nose and tjroughout the beer. Subdued acidity. Very succesful compromise between a classical kriek and the very commercial, sweetened krieks. 190698

Bottle, Brussels, May 2005. Head is initially small, fizzy, pink, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium/dark red, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with a strong note of cherry. Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation. A very sweet, syrupy soda-like beverage. Hard to drink.
