Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of almonds as well as notes of cherries. The flavor is sweet and acidic with strong notes of almond, medium notes of cherries, and light notes of brettanomyces towards the finish. The body is thin.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Beautiful dark, red colour with a (surprisingly) retentive pinkish head. Very strong cherry notes in the nose and tjroughout the beer. Subdued acidity. Very succesful compromise between a classical kriek and the very commercial, sweetened krieks. 190698

[Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm] Deep hazily ruby. Fresh aroma of cherries of near schaerbeekse quality. Too sweet with rich cherry flavour. There’s plenty of almonds and glue as weell, and the acidity cannot balance the sweetness. The aroma is lovely, but after that it takes a wrong turn.

Bottle from 1982. Red colour with no head. Cherry aroma and a dry light sweet sour cherry taste. Medium body and a sweet sour finish. I´m not a lambic fan.... 5-4-3-3-8 Re-Rate. Bottle, thanks to Engelsmann, smuggeld in to Roskilde Festival for the Plan B beer tasting session. A dark red beer with a pink head. The aroma is of Cherries and soda pop, the taste is sweet cherries, light dry. Medium body with a sweet finish. 6-3-5-3-14

A Mes rate: 1993 bottle at DHVL.
A very good looking kriek, you know what to expect. This is a proper girlie drink but I do have a tendency to like such things on occasion. The Boon influence is obvious in the aroma. Full on rich cherry that is sweet as hell but then a delicate sourness coupled with a lovely dryness looms from the glass. Slightly oxidised but there is no sign of it being over the hill. There is something gorgeous in the background that I can’t put my finger on. Sadly the flavour is not in the same league. Very similar to the nose and still tasty bu there is a definite blood note that I don’t really care for and the sweetness takes over the faint acidity too much. I still enjoyed having it however.
