Gazza (720), Worcester, Worcestershire, England Oct 28, 2007 Bottle, thanks Nicolás! - A massive blast of caramel, roast, smoke, liquorice and molassed smacked me in the nose as I smelt this beer - I knew I was in for a real "love it or hate it" moment! It was indeed rich, sweet, full-bodied and roasted with a delicious smoky sweetness (although not phenolic at all) and a very complex finish with more molasses and treacle over an almost heathery smokiness??? Delicious, strange and complex beer if a little too sweet.
TheGrandMaster (1526), Auckland, New Zealand Oct 18, 2007 Bottle, pours a thick black with no head. A strong smokey bacon aroma, yum! Not as smokey in the flavour unfortunately, and a little over carbonated, with more a burnt malt flavour. A smokey atertaste pleases though. Lilith (242), Santiago, Chile Oct 15, 2007 Black body. Small tanned head. Aroma is sweet, smocked, wooden with hints of caramel, ham, red wine, cocoa seeds, burnt sugar. Flavor is smocked. Body is unpleasantly thin. Panzerfaust (377), Santiago, Chile Aug 22, 2007 2006 Bottle named Del Castillo Chascomus Ahumada
Pours a deep jet black color. Tan/light brown small head that diminishes rather fast and leaves no lacing.
Aroma is very malty, smoked with notes of firewood, toasted grains, smoked ham, prunes, dates and toasted flour. Untypical and very good.
Flavor is not very strong. Is this the same beer that Per and Fukito commented? Sweet-ish with notes of dried dark fruits, prunes, raisins with salty and smoked hints of oak wood and smoked malts.
Body is medium, thick texture. Long smoked finish. Soft carbonation. I found it a little watery... what the hell? Is this really 13% ABV or is it another beer? Soft smokey aftertaste. Decent..

Coffee aroma. Dryish and very soft with velvetty roasty malt and just a hint of bacony smoke. Laid back roasty finish. Good beer!
