Commercial Description:
Orale is a Mexican-style light lager (cerveza clara). It is lightly hopped, full-bodied, and with a slight sweetness that perfectly complements the rich flavors of Mexico’s cuisines.

Bottle poured a clear yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of light bread and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a watery finish. Flavors of light bread and a faint hint of citrus with a crisp clean watery finish.

Save your money, if you want a pale lager there are better ones from the big guys that cost a lot less and have more flavor.

Clear and light copper with a bleached-white head. Smooth and surprisingly weight on the tongue. Sweet nose (honey, corn). Pleasant flavors of toast, nuts, caramel and honey. Balancing hops provided a bit of zingy bitterness. Vienna lager-like. In the background, hints of smoke and tobacco gave the beer some depth. Overall, I thought it was a surprisingly drinkable beer. Better than Manana, IMO.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light pink-yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), with notes of bile, hair spray, and zucchini. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Had this first at GABF 07 and while it was poor then too, it was nowhere near as unpleasant as this. Vegetal, vomit-like aroma with some chemicals as well...one of the worst beer aromas I have ever encountered. It took considerable bravery to put this in my mouth, and yes, the aftertaste was almost as bad. And what the heck is up with the color??? It has this weird pink (NOT orange/amber!) cast that is highly unsettling and out of character for anything but a fruit beer. Man oh man, I hope for the brewery’s sake that this is just an off bottle/batch.

Had this beer at the All Colorado Beer Fest on 11/10/2007. Aroma is very faint. Color is a dark gold with mild carbonation and a thick tight head. Taste is a bit bland with a light malt flavor and low bitterness. Its much better then Corona but not a beer I would seek out.

Draught at All Colorado Beer Festival. Pours clear light yellow with a small, fizzy, white head, diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (meal, grain, straw), light hops (herbs), light sweetness (sweat) with notes of corn. Light bodied, thin texture, soft carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.
