On draft, this beer was excellent. Great choice for the 500th batch! Poured a vibrant copper colour with a soft finger sized vanilla coloured head. Up front bitterness like burnt toast finishing with some light cocoa and coffee like notes. Aroma is toasty, generously hoppy which makes the beer fresh and satisfying.

Lightly hazed nitro pour. Beige nitro head. Aromas of light caramel, mild floor malt and hint of light fruit. Flavors are fairly subdued with muted caramel and toffee. A bit of light fruit juice. Finish has a light bitterness that dries things out, leaving the finish slightly malty and grainy.

Tapper At Delafield Brewhaus, aroma creamy caramel malt and fresh day after a rain hop aroma, taste the caramel is not so rich, there is a plum like fruit flavor ghost floating around, bittering hops that aren’t so bitter, just a little sugary sweetness, much like Fullers ESB on the handpull, except the caramel is not quite as rich, the fruit is a little to evident, and there is no bite in the hops

On tap at the Delafield Brewhaus. Nitro version. Dark brown with a thin ultra creamy off white head that coasts the glass in a solid halo of lace. Aroma of fruit, caramel and grains. Body is smooth and creamy from the nitro and this one finishes up a touch bitter. Fruit, grains and malt dominated the taste. A bit odd as I’m not use to anything other than a neutered stout on nitro, but this one wasn’t too bad.

On cask at Delafield Brewhaus. Poured hazy medium orange with a looser-bubbled, but well-retained cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweeter toffee and light fruits with accents of vanilla and oak.. warmth brought orange meat and peel as well as some darker sugars.. malty for a "bitter". The flavor found warm caramel and toffee at the core with pineapple, earth, and spicy black pepper around.. toasty oak and a large fruity & floral hit on the back.. sweet, warm finish. Light-medium bodied with low carbonation that contributed to a heavier flow across the palate.. bitterness was ideal, but the flow was a little spotty. ** Also tried this on nitro – provided the same base character with a creamier mouthfeel and lesser aromatics.. both were good presentations in their own way.

On draught at the Delafield Brewhaus near Delafield, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear copper amber color brew with a milky and creamy off-white head that keeps its retention from its nitro pour. Nice spotty lacing throughout. Aroma of fruity character with caramel malt, citrus zest a touch of orange and roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, fruity flavor with a bitter grapefruit zest and a touch of almond. Finish has a semi-sweet malty aftertaste followed by a lingering mild bitterness. Yum!
