Sample tried at the RBSG ’07 Grand Tasting. This growler was placed at the front main table with no name of the guest who donated it. Pours a clear pale golden brew (like apple juice), with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind no lacing or ring. Aroma of sweet spiced fruit, honey and a touch of caramel. Tasts is light bodied, multi-grain cereal, some fruit and flowery hops. Finish is sweet, smooth and a light caramel aftertaste.

Growler RBSG 2007. Ciderish aroma. Flat body with no head or lace. I’ve never had horse piss before, but this is what I would imagine it would taste like. Bad breath finish. Palate a little flat. It is frustrating that most brewpubs don’t know how to properly fill a growler. Town Hall does it in such a way to maximize the freshness and use a plastic seal on the top to prevent oxidation. By not properly filling growlers, brewers do themselves, and their beers a disservice.

RBSG07. From clear growler. Pours yellow/orange, clear. Aroma is corny, soft malty. Flavour is mild and slight sweet but still corn. Mild and soft finish. Nice.

RBSG 07 Grand Tasting beer #2 when I saw this, I thought I must have written it down wrong. Was golder than I expected. Lacked flavor.

RBSG 07 Grand Tasting. Bright yellow color with a disappointing nose that didn’t offer anything pleasent. Faint malt flavor that at least wasn’t watery.

A disappointing bock. Gold color. Very light malt and caramel. The flavors are OK ,but this is just too light. A bock needs more flavor and more body.
