Golden color with a fairly dense white head. Pine cones and earthy grain aromas. Flavors of light toffee are shooed away by pine tree sap and bark. Hints of citrus in the background. Fairly earthy and a bit "rough". Perhaps it fits the name quite well.

Sampled on draught at the GTMW ’08. Pours a clear golden light amber brew with a thin off-white head that dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of mostly citrus zest, a touch of toffee and caramel malt, Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a nice balance of caramel malt, grapefruit and citrus zest and some flowery hops. Finish has a sharp bitterness bit that sticks around after the finish.

On tap at the Delafield Brew Pub. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, floral hops, some grassines, and some caramel. Tastesof floral hops, citrus, and light caramel with a nice bittler finish.

I know they say that these cascade hops from argentina are just like their American counterparts, but I strongly disagree. They have a very course bitterness to them. Probobly would have been worlds better if John would have been able to track down some American Cascade, but you do the best with what you have!

On tap at Delafield Brewhaus. Poured clear brighter golden with a moderate cap of sticky white head. The aroma picked up sweeter floral and spicy pine hoppage with an odd vegetal presence.. toffee and some caramel sweetness supported. The flavor had grapefruit meat and caramel sweetness at the core with floral and piney bitterness around.. higher bitterness overall.. the components didn’t strike me as highest quality.. bitter and lightly sour finish. Medium-bodied with lower carbonation and lots of lingering bitterness on the finish. Not very good.
