| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 8, 2004 White creamy lasting head, cloudy gold/amber body. Mostly Cascade aroma. Smooth beer with a slight watery feel (maybe I just want resiny). Very flowery and citrusy taste... not a lot of malt. Good for hops though. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2004 Tap at brewpub: Echoing my other friends here, this beer was chock full of cascade and maybe a little light on the malts, but still a pleasant beer. Soft, seemingly cask conditioned, but not. Reminded me much of the Founders Cascade beer. Hopheads rejoice, Delafield has answerred our prayers. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 17, 2006 10 oz draught at the brewpub in early August 2006. Dark hazy gold with a moderate stable head and thick lacing....nose of apple-peach, bit of pine sap, touch of floral character, subdued but pleasant enough....much stronger flavor profile, bold big citric hop bitterness throughout, juicy and wet through to the finish, the body is just a tad thin....really refreshing and pleasant though ultimately not exciting. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 17, 2004 Lightly hazed dark golden liquid with a smaller off white head. Hopsack and mild grapefruit aromas. Light sweet toasted amlt flavor quickly escorted away by citric and light pine flavors. flavors continue to the finish and linger, with only a mild return of malt late in the linger. Light palate. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 15, 2005 Clear bright gold with a sudsy, dense white head. Enjoyable nose: bittersweet hops bouquet, potatoes hoisted from the soil, some honeysuckle and sugar. Clean, brisk and bitter. Hops manifest in a flavor profile of fresh pine needles and acupuncture the palate in a similar nature. Enough malt sweetening to get by, but I’d like a stronger showing from caramel malts. Solid rendition by the Brewhaus. Ughsmash (4079), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2007 On tap at Delafield Brewhaus. Poured slightly-hazy medium golden with a nice short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet darker grapefruit and caramel with decidedly bitter grapefruit and pine accents.. came across a touch too sweet, but was otherwise enjoyable. Very sweet caramel and fruity maltage at the flavor core with a higher level of pine and grapefruit bitterness surrounding.. long, lengthy warm and bitter finish.. tasty! Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation.. nice bitterness, decent balance. Skyview (4090), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2009 On draught during Great Taste of Midwest 2009 in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy golden yellow colored brew with a short lived off-white head that dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of light caramel malt, citrus and grassy hops with a touch of clover honey. Taste is llightly carbonated, light to medium bodied with a good balance of malt and citrus hop flavors. Finish is slightly metalic, dry and then soft with a sweet citrus aftertaste. It’s a little light in flavor but the finish is still a good pale ale.
